Student Driver Training
Our full package includes 20 hours of on-road training supplemented with 10 hours of theory classes. Our lessons are in accordance with the current Fiji Land Transport Authority Road Code and Guidelines. We strive to provide you a strong foundation of driving fundamentals so that you can ace your driving test. We also offer separate packages of only theory or practical driving sessions to suit your unique requirements.
We offer flexibility in scheduling your driving lessons. Are you at work during the day? Don’t worry, we can schedule your driving lessons in the afternoon; or early in the morning. We offer 7 days/week driving tutorials. So if you’re only free in the weekends, it’s not a problem, we will teach you in the weekends.
We currently offer driver training in a manual transmission car, however we will be including an automatic car very soon. Our training vehicle is well maintained, and equipped with dual controlled brake and clutch so our instructor can step in and take control if needed.
Our classes are conducted in an air-conditioned classroom and our teachings are supplemented by professional power-point presentations and videos/animations. Our pricing is very competitive and we ensure that you get more bang for your buck.
We use an assortment of modern hi-tech teaching aids to help you learn driving faster and develop an enhanced understanding of fundamental driving skills/techniques.
Our Training Aids
Alcohol Simulation Goggles
This unique simulation goggle is a hands-on prevention tool that allows people to experience with a sober mind what it’s like to be under the influence of alcohol.
Student’s in our theory classes are asked to wear these alcohol simulation goggles and perform simple day to day activities.
Students experience how alcohol impairs a person’s balance, vision, reaction time and judgement. This personal experience is intended to influence the individual’s attitude and beliefs about the effects of alcohol and dispel the optimistic bias that “I can handle my alcohol”.
Clutch Model
One of the most perplexing and difficult techniques for a new learner driving a manual vehicle is clutch control. Many students tend to avoid driving a manual vehicle because they fear they will not be able to master the skill of clutch control and gear change.
Our instructor uses a robust spring-loaded clutch model made from plexiglass to illustrate the action of the clutch and transmission system for front or rear drive vehicles. The student can see how raising the the clutch pedal brings the clutch plates together, illustrating how to ‘feel’ the bite point.
The ‘gear lever’ is used to illustrate how power from the engine can also be disconnected from the driven wheels in the gear box regardless of whether or not the clutch pedal is up.
4 Stroke Engine Model
Ever wondered how a car engine works? Did you ever think of what actually happens underneath a car’s bonnet?
In our theory classes, we use a working model of a 4 stroke petrol engine to demonstrate the fundamental principles of how an internal combustion engine works. The model is made of over a 100 parts fixed together and uses sound and lighting to give a ‘real feel’ of a car engine.
First the engine ‘starts up’ and then it runs ‘firing’ to show how the combusting fuel and air drives the pistons down to make the crankshaft turn. All the major components work as they do in the real engine.
We are continuously improving our driver training service by acquiring modern teaching tools and updating our theory/practical modules so that our students receive the best training possible.
